Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

This edible cookie dough contains no raw eggs or flour so it's safe to eat! It is such a breeze to make and unbelievably addicting!!

Yields: 6 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 cup (130g) all purpose flour
  • 1 stick (113g) salted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (80g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup (52g) packed brown sugar (light or dark)
Instructions
  1. Microwave flour for 1 and 1/2 minutes in 30 second intervals, stirring well in between each interval. (OR: Spread the flour out on a baking sheet that has edges and bake at 350ºF for 5 minutes). If you have a kitchen thermometer, you can check to make sure the flour is at least 160ºF. (See Notes)

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add the cooked flour and whisk until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and enjoy! *Note: This cookie dough is meant to be eaten as-is, and should not be baked into cookies.

Recipe Notes

It is necessary to cook the flour because uncooked flour may contain harmful bacteria. We cannot guarantee that cooking the flour this way removes 100% of the bacteria. Please consume at your own risk.

 

Make Ahead Tip: This cookie dough can be enjoyed immediately after making it. It can also be refrigerated for 2-3 days, then left out to come to room temperature before enjoying. 

 

Serving Suggestion: Eat this cookie dough on its own or add it on top of vanilla ice cream for a special treat!;)
