This dessert is the perfect balance between sweet, cinnamon apple filling and crispy oatmeal crumble. Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the softened butter and use a fork to mix until combined. Set aside.
In a large bowl, use a spatula to combine the diced apples, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour the apple filling into a 8x8 square pan. Crumble oat topping over the top. Bake at 350ºF for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is crisp. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
*You can use red or green apples (we used Gala apples). The apples should be diced into 1/2-inch cubes for reference.
